Rare antique blue opaline vanity jar. This is marked on bottom, France. Glass is a beautiful blue and translucent, consistent with blue opaline glass of the late 19th Century. The original lid is missing. Jar is in perfect condition.

Opaline glass is not as translucent as opal glass. It can also be colored in pastel colors. It was very popular in France during the 19th Century.
